West Industries Names Dr. Maria Bhacca as President
Company Expands Leadership Team and Aligns Organization for Future Growth
BATON ROUGE, LA – West Industries, founded in 1883 in Long Island City, NY, and now the leading manufacturer of restroom deodorizing products (www.westindustries.com), today announced the appointment of Dr. Maria Bhacca as President. Dr. Bhacca will be responsible for the total operations of West Industries, including the Service Division, Product Sales Division, and Manufacturing Division, and will report to West’s CEO, Ben Elder. Mr. Elder will continue to lead the International Division.
“Maria’s experience in taking a strategic vision and executing on that vision will strengthen West’s position as the industry leader. With a proven track record for successfully leading large scale initiatives and driving performance, Maria’s leadership skills are well suited to lead West’s growth efforts as we continue in our mission to become a customer centered company,” said Ben Elder, CEO of West.
Dr. Bhacca brings more than 30 years of executive experience to West. Most recently, Dr. Bhacca served as Executive Vice President at West, where she was responsible for day to day administrative operations. Prior to West, she was the founder and President of Accent Travel Services for 30 years before leading Accent into becoming totally a virtual travel agency. Dr. Bhacca received her PhD in Languages from the Universita Abruzzese Degli Studi in Pescara, Italy.
